Evolve grill

product for women review on George Foreman GRP4EMB Deep Dish Cupcake

George Foreman GRP4EMB Deep Dish Cupcake

We'd been using an old Foreman that I think we got as a wedding gift. It had a good ten years in it. One night my wife left some wet towels on the grimy grill surface which ended up bubbling up the non-stick finish and ruining it. It was time for a new Foreman grill . We love the design of this thing. With our fantastic toaster oven and this grill we might not ever turn the big stove/oven on again (not really). With the variety of grill plates though it might take a back seat come dinner time. We can make grill ed cheese, cook vegetables for a fajitas, fry a burger, pizza, whatever (except spaghetti... I think). On top of that it's a cinch to clean with the removable plates. And down the road if we do anything to ruin them we'll be buying some grill plates, not an entirely new grill . Yay progress!

  1. This is my third or fourth George Foreman grill. I absolutely love them and can't imagine life without it. I have used each one until it died. This is my first of the grills with removable grill plates. I didn't think I would like this style of grill because I thought they would be too small, but my husband wanted the removable plates because he didn't like cleaning the original. I'm happy to say that I love the removable grill plates. It's not too small and the plates are incredibly easy to clean. I love the deep-dish bake pan...it's so versatile. I have baked chicken and crab cakes, but what I really like to use it for is re-heating food. I don't like the taste of foods that are re-heated in the microwave so I've been using the George Foreman and it's great. I roasted vegetables in the deep dish pan and forgot to unplug it after I removed the vegetables. The remains were all burnt and baked on. I thought it would be really tough to clean. I soaked it for a couple of hours and all I had to do was rinse it with water and it was clean as a whistle. You really can't beat George Foreman grills!!

  2. Great Grill !! I have had several models of the George Foreman grill, and this is by far the best. The baking pans work surprisingly well , and have been useful for cooking small portions of cornbread and muffins. The removable plates clean easily, both on and off the grill. This is a great cooking utensil for someone who has to cook for one or two people. Foods can be prepared quickly and easily. Just be aware that the grill does not turn off after the selected cooking time is finished. It will remain on until the power button is turned off. All in all I am enjoying the grill and would recommend it to anyone looking for something to help with quick and easy food preparation.

  3. I like grilled foods and this is a very easy grill to use. More importantly, it is also an easy grill to clean. Once it's cooled, I just pop off the plates and put them in the dishwasher. I had heard that some grills don't become hot enough, but I haven't experienced that at all grilling beef, chicken, and veggies. This isn't the least expensive grill around, but it is well worth the money. The non-stick surfaces are non-stick and this comes w/a spatula-fork that won't scratch. I do always give the plates a little spray of olive oil before cooking out of habit. I don't know if that's helped the non-stick last. This is a good grill, large enough for a couple chicken breasts at once. I'd buy it again.

  4. The GRP4EMB George Foreman Grill with the deep bake pan and interchangeable grill plates has become the second most used appliance on my counter, after the microwave. I'd done on-line research to find a reliable product that would have the functionality of cookers with removable upper and lower grills similar to what are advertised on TV, but which would be well-made and reliable. This item seemed like the best thing out there, but it was new and there weren't many reviews available. I took a chance on it because the George Foreman name implies a level of quality. I've had this thing for about three months now and it's great. I cook with it almost every day, and sometimes several times a day.

The waffle plates were not included, and I bought them separately from Amazon. Contrary to what another reviewer said, they fit fine. You have to make sure you get the waffle plates that go with this model.

The deep dish baker is superior to a toaster oven because you can bake items in sauce. For example, you can make a small lasagna that feeds two in less than half an hour by using two layers of the no-boil type lasagna pasta and adding a large can of tomato sauce for moisture and whatever filling you want. I also use the deep dish pan to bake olive oil drizzled broccoli or asparagus, Rachel Ray style. The deep dish does a good job baking frozen biscuits (8 at a time), and other frozen convenience items like fish sticks and chicken strips.

The coating on the grills is the usual George Foreman hard non-stick metal type, and stands up well to repeated washing.

My only complaint (and this is minor) is that the cook time only goes up to 20 minutes. I sometimes have to keep an eye on the timer and add additional minutes before the cook time is up.

  5. This grill is quick and versatile. Temperature and time controls are very simple. All grilling/baking plates are very easy to remove and pop in the dishwasher. Thus no greasy cleanup after burgers, etc. At this price a more complete cookbook should be included, since cooking is done on both sides and cooking time is much shorter than other methods.

  6. I bought the George Foreman Evolve Grill in December and have used it repeatedly. It works well for me since I only cook for 3 people. Beats heating up the oven for small amounts. The muffin pan is nice, but you only get 6 small muffins which is about a 4th of most recipes. The needs to be a better recipe book. Takes about 15 minutes to heat up. About the same as the oven but takes a lot less current. Over all I like it.

  7. A perfect grill for two and it bakes too. What more can
you ask for. A tip - don't try to put frozen fish on it.
Non stick surface or not, it will stick and leave a big
    mess.
