After thinking about the pros and cons of this grill , I went ahead and bought this grill as a Christmas gift for my mom. She owned another George Foreman grill that she disliked because it was hard to clean at times. This one looks really cool and the plates are fully removable to clean. Reading other commen ts I was well informed about the infamous sticker that was afixed on the top of the lid. So after I purchased the grill , I opened the box to save my mom frustration. The number one tip I can give to anyone who buys this grill is to peel the sticker nice and slow, starting at one edge. Long fingernails help too! Do not peel the plastic off the top because then you will have the most diffucult time trying to remove the sticker! However, Goo Gone should remove any glue that does not come off. I'm certain she will enjoy this grill as much as her old one with even more versatility than before!

After extensive searching on not only Amazon but various other sites, I settled upon this grill . I made this decision based on both the manufacturer and the reviews it received stating that it achieved the high temperatures needed to sear a good steak.
PROS:
I've had it for a month now, and I feel it is about time I reviewed it. This grill has lived up to my every expectation. It reaches much higher than the temperatures I require to cook and it provides a very evenly heated surface. The non-stick surface makes it very easy to clean by either a sponge and warm soap water, or even a trip in the dishwasher when I am feeling lazy. Again, I can't say it enough, this grill cooks beautifull y.
CONS:
Not very many, mostly my OCD nature. However, this grill is not perfect down to a T. The grill does not drain as easily as I would like, only a small problem, and only when I decide to pour most of my marinade on the grill . The Drip tray also leaves a bit to be desired. The worst thing I can say about this grill is the touchiness of the controls. It is not a continuous dial, and therefore you reach certain levels of heat as you "click" through. At some points while cooking you find a level too great of a difference, the only solution would be to purchase a gas grill , but you won't catch me outdoors grill ing in the snow.
Overall a GREAT grill , worth every penny. If I needed another grill , I wouldn't dream of purchasing anything different. Especially when compared to the train-wreck of the Sanyo I had before.

-1 Star Advertized to be 18.25 x 26.25 and it actually says on the box from the Mfgr. 18.25x26.25 They are actually 19x24 and are too long and not wide enough for my grill.
Sending back for refund.
OK, after further investigation, I figured out the problem.
Amazon marked the box incorrectly. They incorrectly put an inventory tag of 66652 on a box containing model number 66662. The Item # 66662 is clearly marked on the box which is 19x25.
I contacted Amazon and they sent out a replacement. The replacement came in today and was the correct 66652 model and it fits even better then the originals.

Recently my wife and I used this grill during a New Year's celebration. We were going to have eight guests but instead only six were able to come. Ultimately, we were glad for that considering it would have been quite cramped had we had eight people using the grill . If you plan accordingly, however, that is not a problem.
We are very satisfied with grill . We used the top surface to grill some meats and vegetables. Even though it was used for a while and therefore had a lot of burnt on residue, it was easy to clean. Also, the trays for the cheese were easy to use, the cheese slides of really well, and the trays and scrapers were also easy to clean as long as you don't allow the cheese to bake on.
All in all we are very happy with it and just need to find more excuses to use it. A small suggestion: authentic raclette cheese is a must.

I am originally from Switzerland. We had some guests visiting over Christmas and New Year. The plan was to celebrate an American Christmas and the next day a Swiss Christmas. The raclette oven seemed like the best choice for the second event... Everyone loved it. We put all different kinds of meat on the top grill and melted cheese in the bottom part. Of course the traditional potatoes etc were served too. There was enough room for the 8 of us. It's great if you don't want to spend the whole night in the kitchen preparing the dinner and miss out on the fun. If you have a big table and you want to keep it in the middle you'll probably need to get an extension cord. Also, the oven smokes a little bit when you plug it in the first time! Make sure you'll do that before you serve dinner!

I read a lot of reviews about the George Foreman Electric Grill. Many said they bought it because they live in apartmen t and can't have open fire. Some said they bought it to go outside, but it never left the kitchen and they use it all the time! I thought that was rather ridiculous and was sure that would not be me. Much to my surprise, the grill has not left our kitchen either!! It's great; fast to preheat and the food cooks very quickly and is extremely tasty. It's fun to cook table side! I did not think I would grill good quality steak on it, because I thought it would taste as good as a charcoal grill . Again, I was wrong. The steak was delicious. In fact, it took less time than the directions led me to believe. A thick steak, cooked to perfection in 12 minutes! We have made chicken, pork and fish and all were very tasty. There is no vent in the hood top, so food cooks quickly and evenly and there is not a lot of smoky smell lingering long into the night. It's "non-stick" surface takes awhile to clean thoroughly. That's the only Slight disadvantage. We are very pleased with the product; much more so than we ever expected to be! I never had an interest in the George Foreman table top grill , so this was a complete surprise that we like it so well.

We'd been using an old Foreman that I think we got as a wedding gift. It had a good ten years in it. One night my wife left some wet towels on the grimy grill surface which ended up bubbling up the non-stick finish and ruining it. It was time for a new Foreman grill . We love the design of this thing. With our fantastic toaster oven and this grill we might not ever turn the big stove/oven on again (not really). With the variety of grill plates though it might take a back seat come dinner time. We can make grill ed cheese, cook vegetables for a fajitas, fry a burger, pizza, whatever (except spaghetti... I think). On top of that it's a cinch to clean with the removable plates. And down the road if we do anything to ruin them we'll be buying some grill plates, not an entirely new grill . Yay progress!

I love sandwiches. My typical lunch that I take to work is a turkey sandwich on 100% whole wheat with veggies. While it tastes good, it does not compare to a hot and crispy panini made on this grill . My wife and I have starting eating panini sandwiches once a week for dinner.
The great thing is that there are so many different variations- one day you can do a spicy veggie hoagie with hot peppers and mustard; another day you can do an italian ciabatta sandwich with fresh pesto. And the crispy texture just makes everything taste better, without adding any calories or fat. Grilled Cheeses are amazing using this thing.
If you tend to coat the outside of your sandwich with butter or margarine, try using extra virgin olive oil instead. It tastes just as good, and is much healthier.
The unit is also easy to clean. And the lack of a power switch isn't a problem at all for us. At this price, this is a must-have tool for your kitchen .

No complaints
grill review on Cuisinart GR 11 Griddler Grill Panini
I often cook for one and have a lack of kitchen space so I have searched for something that works for sandwiches and as a mini-grill for some time. After trying some others that were lacking or settling for one that does one or the other I finally have what I wanted.
This has lots of great features.
-the non stick surface is actually non stick
-you can remove the grill ing plates and put them in the dishwasher
-easy to clean surface
-cooks and grill s evenly
-easy to set for whatever you're cooking
-warms up quickly
-stores in very little space
-outside is easily cleaned
This is great if you aren't a great cook (I'm not) and if you need to have a minimum amount of gadgets in your kitchen (I do).
Would have been excellent in my college dorm and frankly for all it does and as good as it does it this is a really terrific bargain as well.

Over the years I've tried nearly every type of indoor grill . The only one I haven't tried is the Kenyon, and thats because of price. But I started years ago with Farberware, had a Tfal for the brief time they had one, tried Foreman, tried Cuisinart, Delonghi, others. Before finding the Breville I was using a Sanyo which actually was pretty good except a nightmare to clean.
Now, the Breville Smart Grill. I purchased in late at night and couldn't wait so grill ed at 11 o'clock at night. Instant love. I've now used it 4 to 5 times a week for nine months. I grill steaks, hamburger, hot dogs, pork butterfly chops, chicken breasts, chicken tenders. I love the way it cooks them all. I use it open like a barbecue most of the time and was amazed how quickly it grill ed steaks. I do use the ribbed grill for them even though it takes slightly longer as we just like it better. I do the chops and chicken on the flat grill .
I love that the grill plates fit so nicely in the sink. As to the drip pan it cleans so easily but I'm amazed how little drippings I get. Mostly get them when grill ing bacon wrapped beef tenderloin.
I love it. I have just purchased extra plates and I know over time will need replacemen ts, but I am fine with that. It is the best countertop grill I've found. While more expensive than many, I'd tried all the cheaper ones so it actually saved me money because I was ready to try one far more expensive.

This is a nice, small grill that will easily accommodate the needs of someone who cooks for 1 to 4 people, depending on how large the items being grill ed are. I managed to get three nice sized rib eyes on it at one time. I cooked the steaks on hi for the entire cooking time and was rewarded with great looking grill marks on both sides. I set the unit on the stove so I could utilize the vent hood if there was a lot of smoking. Surprisingly there wasn't. Judging from the grill marks, the grill heats evenly, and the nonstick cooking surface is great. The grill plate is sturdy and has a little weight to it. It's not flimsy or cheap looking like some of the other grill s available. The unit is more expensive than the others of a comparable size, but I think it is a worthwhile purchase.
I have a grill pan that works pretty good, but once the food is turned the bottom of the food sort of steams and the grill marks are not as good. The advantage of this grill is that the grill plate has holes in it that allows the juices from the food to go into the drip pan so you get more of a grill ing effect.
If the drip pan is lined with foil or if just enough water is placed in it to cover the bottom, clean up is a breeze. The nonstick surface of the grill is easy to clean.
I have been using the grill with recipes from Stephen Raichlen's book, Indoor Grilling. I made the chicken paillards with virgin sauce last night and they were really good. I also used the grill on the hi setting to grill the chicken breasts. They cooked really fast and again had really good grill marks on them.
I have also made kebabs on the grill but found that works best if a sheet of foil is placed over the top of kebabs so that the top and sides can be exposed to more heat. It's also good to leave a tiny bit of space between the food on the kebabs to ensure even cooking.
I think this is a great product, and I recommen d it and would purchase it again.

I have had this since last Christmas. I have loved it.
Pros:
1. Very easy to clean. I love the fact that when it get really yucky I can put it in the dishwasher. Mostly I hand wash but about every 5th use I put it in the dishwasher.
2. Large cook area.
3. Reversible surfaces. I reviewed a lot of grill s and griddles and I really wanted one that reversed so I could use it for both. It's great for hamburgers, chicken etc. on the grill . (Thicker cuts of meat do better on an actual grill since they need the ambient heat of the closed like to cook all the way through without burning.) The griddle is wonderful for making french toast and pancakes. I love it because I don't have to spend near as much time cooking batches.
4. Easy to set the temperature.
Cons:
1.The temperature is not completely even across the surface (it cooks a little hotter on the end opposite of the plug) but this has not been a problem for me. I just work around it. I still love the grill /griddle.

Of all the Foreman grill s I've seen and used (and I now own three of them), This grill cooks the most food at a time (even more than the Grande sized steel indoor/outdoor that's [money] more expensive), and in my 30 year old house, I've never had a power outage due to the grill . Those who have trouble with the Grill's electricity might want to look into the deeper problem they're having. It's NOT the grill .
Cooking times should be about the same as a gas grill . I cooked chicken, steak, shrimp, and veggie skewers for about 2 minutes a side (for 8 total minutes) per skewer. With the marinade I used, it tasted REALLY good. For steak, go 6 a side. Don't overcook your steak. Leave it Medium rare.
Chicken: 6 minutes a side. Just like steak. I'm talking about skinless, boneless breasts. I haven't tried drumsticks.
For steak, use salt, pepper, accent, garlic salt, and Montreal Steak seasoning on both sides of the cow. Don't use A1, don't use Worcestershire. I swear it'll taste a lot better than the 'burnt' flavor you get from steakhouses who think all it takes to cook a steak is setting it under a flame. Fire shouldn't be your only steak seasoning! And for those who think the Grill doesn't make the meat taste good...well no kidding! That's why you SEASON MEAT. You're cooking on METAL! HELLO!!!!
Washing this thing is a breeze, no matter how long you leave it sitting. I could leave the cooktop sitting for a week, and it'll still be easy to clean. It's easier to clean than the smaller Georges.
Some men tion having to turn the meat over when you cook on this grill . That's very true, but you should have to do the same on the smaller George grill s, even with the heating elemen t on the top. Even in smaller grill s, I ALWAYS turn the meat over halfway. That makes for even cooking. Don't be so lazy. All you have to do is turn meat. Nobody's asking you to cure cancer.
I still use the small Foreman (the family size) for cooking on thick steak at a time or about 3 or 4 chicken breasts. But when I'm cooking for several or if I'm cooking RIBS, I use this dome topped barbeque. It's totally Rockin'!
